April 2023 Newsletter

We all have dreams of things we would like to accomplish in life.

Whether it be a career, personal goals, or an experience that we yearn for, these dreams often serve as our compass, guiding us toward a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go as smoothly as we would like. It’s easy to get distracted or discouraged when faced with obstacles. But it’s important to remember that setbacks are a natural part of the process, and that persistence and resilience are key to achieving success. Often times all we need is a little nudge to either get us started or put us back on the path we want to go.

One of the most important factors that can help fuel our motivation to pursue our dreams is an inspiration. Inspiration can come from any number of people or experiences. And when we find it, it can ignite our passion, stir up our creativity, and empower us to pursue our goals with determination and perseverance.

We find that the same is true for those who choose the business of residential assisted living. Being able to see someone who has been where we want to go and hearing all about their experiences can be an immeasurable asset to growth and success.

Here’s Why Entrepreneurs Choose RAL Academy

We have hundreds of stories of both novice and experienced investors who have chosen to build their futures with Residential Assisted Living. Our students have diverse backgrounds and investment experiences, and they come from every walk of life. Some are at the beginning of their RAL business journey and some have been running successful RAL homes for years.

In fact, many of our professional support staff were once RAL Academy students just starting out in assisted living. They were trained on the RAL Academy model, then went on to open up their own successful RAL businesses, and now they help guide others to do the same.

We live what we teach because we believe in it wholeheartedly. Our motto is “Do Good and Do Well.” And with the right training, you too can make significant cash flow while helping others at the same time.

Virtual Reality for Residential Assisted Living Technology

Technology Advances in Residential Assisted Living – March 2023 Meetup Discussion

Technology has become an increasingly important tool for assisted living providers. From electronic medical records and telehealth to fall detection and medication management systems, technology is being used to improve the quality and efficiency of care. Here are six areas that we believe will blossom to help improve the care and health of assisted living residents.

Mindfulness & Empathy

If there’s one thing the world could use a little more of, it’s empathy. Those who work in the assisted living industry know this all too well. The medical community has recognized the power of mindfulness and compassion and the effects on those who need care, especially those who are non-commutative.

Employee Spotlight

Meet Kellen Regalado

Kellen grew up in a small mountain town in San Diego County, surrounded by a large and supportive family. As the Director of Inside Sales here at the RAL Academy he is an integral part of our students’ first steps toward success.

Outside of work, his biggest hobby is health and fitness. He is a certified personal trainer with a background in the fitness industry. He also loves smoking food in his old-fashioned Texas-style smoker, spending entire days cooking delicious meals for friends and family.

With fitness and assisted living, Kellen is passionate about helping improve the quality of life for others.

“My favorite thing about the RAL industry is knowing that I am doing my part to make my corner of the world better. I get to be a small part of helping a senior (that I may never meet) and their family have a better home as they age and enter the remaining phase of their life.”

He is inspired by others’ success and devotes much of his time to helping others reach their fullest potential.

Integrity is an important value that has shaped his career. And it is on full display as he helps guide entrepreneurs on the right path toward their assisted living business goals.

He is incredibly proud of the work he’s been able to do the past four years at the RAL Academy, being able to help so many people take their first steps to build their RAL business dreams and create legacies of quality care in this vital industry.

Kellen’s advice for those starting out in residential assisted living… “It’s the little steps that add up to the big accomplishments. You gotta take that first step and let the momentum carry you through.”
