Meet Kati Peterman
Kati is one of our newer additions to the RAL Academy team in the past year and has joined us with a wealth of experience. She has an extensive background in leadership, and with more than 10 years in the seminar industry, she has a keen insight into the management and support needed to help teams function at their maximum potential.
As Executive Director of the RAL Academy, she helps guide the direction and efficiency of our many departments.
Kati thrives on celebrating the success of others, which fits perfectly with our RALA mission to equip and support the individuals who care for our nation’s seniors.
She is an extremely positive individual and her passion for team morale and cohesiveness is regularly on display.
In her free time, Kati enjoys traveling, gardening, interior design, and spending time with her two dogs, Piano and Tramonto, who keep her on her toes daily.
Her heart for this industry is borne out of personal concern for the care of seniors. Her grandmother, Thelma, just turned 88. Knowing firsthand the difficulties that seniors face daily, drives her passion to make an impact and help raise the standards of this industry.
“When your passions and purpose line up with your every day, knowing you are making an impact on others, it makes you feel good inside and makes you proud of what you do.”
What she loves most about working on the RAL Academy team, “I get to work with a company that reflects my core values. I enjoy the individuals, and I enjoy developing others and problem-solving.”
Despite a wealth of experience, Kati continues to prioritize her own personal development, working with a number of mentors throughout the year. She affirms that “Leadership coaching is the best investment you can make in yourself.” This striving for excellence gives her an even greater ability to effectively develop others around her.
Kati’s advice for anyone considering getting into the residential assisted living industry: “One day you will be a senior too. If you needed care, what would you want that care to look like?”
